The Village of High Halden

www.highhalden.org.uk

This website was created under the joint ownership of High Halden Village Events Committee, High Halden War Memorial Hall and High Halden Parish Council. It runs alongside and is linked to the Parish Council Website.

It is intended that this site will provide information about village organisations and clubs, services and facilities, events and activities and wider issues relevant to the village and its residents.  Under the framework provided by HugoFox, who host the site, it is possible for the site to be kept up to date and relevant without the need for technical experts.  A small group administers the site with individuals authorised to update specific pages.

If you have any ideas, suggestions or would like to be involved please let us know via the contact page.

It is intended that the website will have important updates and information relevant to local residents as well as some good news stories and village pictures. Through the website we will be able to issue newsletters without the need to print and deliver so that we can get information out quickly across the village.  The site works alongside the village Facebook page.

Please register for email alerts for news and events. This will mean that when a newsletter is issued on the site you will receive an email alert. Signing up for the alerts is easy:

Click on sign up for our email alerts

THEN:

  • Enter your email address,
  • Tick news
  • Tick “I agree to the privacy policy”,
  • Click Create
  • You will receive an email confirming you have set up alert
  • Click “receive alerts” on the email.

If you have information, links, good news stories or pictures which you would like to be added or if you become aware that information needs updating or if you would like to help with the website please contact us via the website contact page or email [email protected]

WHAT ABOUT THOSE WITHOUT ACCESS TO THE INTERNET AND ONLINE SOCIAL MEDIA? There are many in our village who cannot access the internet, Facebook etc and it is vital that they stay in the loop. If you know someone then please talk to them (by phone or from a distance when delivering items) and update them with any news. If they want a copy of any newsletters please print one for them or let us know via the contact page or [email protected]  so that we can arrange for a printed copy to be sent or delivered to them.

There are 3 Defibrillators in the village which can be found at:
